Bachelor of Science on Physics from Federal University of Bahia (2010). Ph.D degree on Space Geophysics (2015) at the National Institute for Space Research-INPE. Worked for one year as research assistant at NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC), USA, during his Ph.D period. Worked as visiting researcher also at NASA/GSFC for a 4 months period (2016). Worked as visiting researcher at West Virginia University, USA, during 7 months (2018). His main research interests are on magnetic reconnection at the Earth's dayside magnetopause using both in situ observations and numerical simulations, and physical processes that lead to either loss or acceleration of electrically charged particles trapped in the Earth's Van Allen radiation belts. For a year was a civil servant as physics teacher in a public high school and nowadays is a professor of physics in the Federal Institute for Education, Science and Technology of Bahia.
