Jéssica Fernanda Corrêa Cordeiro

Holds a Bachelor's and Licentiate Degree in Nursing from the Ribeirão Preto School of Nursing at the University of São Paulo, with a FAPESP scholarship for scientific initiation. Completed a Master's and Ph.D. in Sciences from the prestigious Fundamental Nursing program at the same institution, both with CAPES scholarships. Expertise includes specializations in Emergency and Urgent Care, Intensive Care, Occupational Nursing, and Primary Care Nursing, with a focus on the Family Health Strategy. Completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Faculty of Sport at the University of Porto, funded by a CNPq international postdoctoral scholarship. In the academic field, taught at Unisociesc, in Joinville-SC, covering subjects such as Public Health, Basic Care Internship, Health Education, and Human Anatomy. Also participated as a monitor in the Teacher Training Program at EERP-USP and taught in the Nursing Assistant and Technician course at Colégio Projeção, both in-person and remotely. As a tenured nurse at the Hospital das Clínicas of the Ribeirão Preto Medical School at the University of São Paulo, was on the front lines in the fight against COVID-19 in the Intensive Care Unit and worked in the medical clinic and infectious diseases areas. Achieved 1st place in the selection for occupational nurse at the Santa Lydia Hospital Foundation, where actively participated in the management of worker health. Currently resides in the United States, seeking personal and academic development. Research areas include Adult and Elderly Health, Public Health, COVID-19, HIV, Home Care, Occupational Risk, Sepsis, Immunology, Behavior Change, Physical Activity and Exercise, Quality of Life, Treatment Adherence and Infection Control, Information and Communication Technologies, among others. Has also contributed to and developed systematic reviews on these topics. Is a member of the Study and Research Group on Anthropometry, Training, and Sports (GEPEATE) and has been part of the Rho Upsilon chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, Honor Society of Nursing, since 2014.
