Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). Instituto de Física Gleb Wataghin (IFGW)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

He holds a Bachelor's degree (2004), a Master's degree (2006), and a Ph.D. (2010) in Physics from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), Brazil. He completed postdoctoral research at the University of California, Santa Barbara (20122013), the University of Campinas UNICAMP (20142016 and 20172018), and Rice University (20162017). He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at UFPR.His research is focused on Condensed Matter Physics, with an emphasis on Nanotechnology and Computational Simulations. He works on classical and reactive molecular dynamics, first-principles calculations (DFT), Monte Carlo methods, and machine learning applied to the modeling of physicochemical properties of nanoscale materials. His main interests include adsorption phenomena, transport processes, and mechanical properties in two-dimensional materials and complex nanostructures such as schwarzites, graphene oxide, and high-entropy alloys. He also develops AI-based interatomic potentials and applies active learning approaches to accelerate computational materials discovery. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
