Graduated in MEDICINE from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo (1985) and Ph.D in Neurology from the University of São Paulo - FMUSP(1997). Specialization in Neuromuscular Diseases from Oxford University under the supervision of Newson-Davis (1991). Visiting Professor of Pathological Anatomy and Neuropathology at the Faculté de Médicine Paul Broca - Bourdeaux - France (2003). Post doctorate in Neurology from FMABC/Université Paris VI (2015-2016) and Specialist in Myology from Universités Aix-Marceille et Paris VI (2016).
