Retired civil servant. She worked in development and research at the National Institute for Space Research (INPE) from 1988 to 2017, with expertise in data science, meteorology and Artificial Intelligence. She acts as a volunteer researcher in current INPE projects. She has master's degree (2004) and doctorate (2010) from the postgraduate program of the National Institute for Space Research in Applied Computing(CAP). Did postdoctoral research in atmospheric data assimilation at Florida State University/USA (2013). Worked in systems development, high performance processing and computational intelligence, with emphasis on systems applied to meteorology, in the following topics: atmospheric data assimilation, artificial neural networks, numerical weather prediction, atmospheric observations, remote sensing data.
