I have a bacharel degree in Computer Science from Federal University of São Carlos - UFSCar (1990). My graduate studies started with a master degree in Applied Computing at the National Institute for Space Research - INPE (1994) in the field of computer vision. Than I obtained a doctor in science degree in Applied Computing also from INPE (2006). Currently I am a senior researcher at INPE working with Geoinformatics. My areas of interest are spatial databases, GIS, free and open source software for geographic information systems, remote sensing and applications. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
