He holds a BEng in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on Automation and Control (POLI-USP, 2005) and a PhD in Electrical Engineering (POLI-USP, 2010). He is a permanent faculty member of the Graduate Program in Informatics and Knowledge Management (MSc and PhD) at Universidade Nove de Julho (UNINOVE). His work focuses on modelling and simulation of complex and dynamic systems, with an emphasis on mathematical epidemiology and evolutionary games, using numerical methods and approaches based on machine learning and artificial intelligence. He has published 38 articles in international journals indexed in the Web of Science bibliographic database. He has held a CNPq Productivity Fellowship (PQ-2) for six years, has coordinated three FAPESP Regular Research Grants (Auxílio Regular), one FAPESP SPRINT project, one CNPq Universal project, and two projects funded under CNPq/AWS calls.
