Gianna Maria Griz Carvalheira

She is a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Pernambuco (1986), a Master's Degree in Botany from the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (1993) and a PhD in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Pernambuco (2001). Associate Professor in the Department of Morphology and Genetics and the Graduate Program in Structural and Functional Biology, EPM, Unifesp. Experience in Genetics, with emphasis on Cytogenetics, Molecular Genetics and Gene Regulation. She participated in the publication of 04 chapters of books: a) FISH in human chromosomes, in the book Molecular Cytogenetics: Commented Protocols, Prof. Marcelo Guerra, 2012; b) Human chromosome studies: karyotype and advanced techniques, Prof. Dr. Décio Brunoni and Dr. Ana Beatriz Alvarez Perez, 2013; c) Medical Clinic. Diagnosis and treatment. 6 volumes, Prof. Antonio Carlos Lopes, 2013, and d) Cytogenetics: From the theory of heredity to molecular cytogenetics, in the book Mendel: From the laws of heredity to genetic engineering, Francisco José Lima Aragão and José Roberto Moreira, 2017, awarded by ABEU / 2018.
