Cynthia Bomfim Pestana

Graduation in Biological Sciences (Institute of Biosciences, University of São Paulo, USP) and Master in Genetics and Cell Biology from the same institute (1989). Ph.D. in Histology and Cell Biology from the Institute of Biomedical Sciences (USP -1994). Founding partner and director of Tecam Laboratories from 1995 to 2016, final responsible for the areas of Toxicology, Ecotoxicology and Quality Assurance. From 2017 to 2019, director of ALS Laboratories. Coordinator of the project (FAPESP PIPE): "Development and implementation of alternative methods to the use of animals in Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)" from 2014 to 2019. Several lectures on Quality Assurance, Toxicology and Alternative Methods. Publication of several papers in indexed journals and participation in many congresses presenting posters during her professional career. In 2019 started providing consulting services in the area of Toxicology and Hazard Assessment. In 2020, was a visiting researcher at Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) under the supervision of Dr. Mark Cronin, where knowledge in computational toxicology and "in silico" tools were improved. Since then, published a few papers involving in silico tools. Since 2021 is a Visiting Professor of the Post Graduation programme at the UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DO PARANÁ. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
