Daiane Damasceno Borges received a double Master's degree in "Master of Science in Physics" from the Duitsland Instituut Amsterdam (UvA) and "Laurea Specialistica in Fisica" from the University of Rome - La Sapienza. She received PhD in Material Science from Joseph Fourier University, where her thesis was developed at the Center for Atomic Energy and Alternative Energies-CEA in Grenoble, France. In 2013 she was a postdoctoral fellow at CNRS-France at the group of Prof. Dr. Guillaume Maurin of the Charles Gerhardt Institute (ICGM) in Montpellier. Later, she was a FAPESP postdoctoral fellow at Institute of Physics Gleb Wataghin of UNICAMP. Later she was a postdoctoral fellow in the group of Prof. Dr. Berend Smit of the Molecular Simulation Laboratory (LSMO) at EPFL-Sion in Switzerland. She is currently a professor at the Institute of Physics at the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU). Daiane?s research focuses on the application of novel molecular simulation techniques, with an emphasis on energy-related applications. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
