Victor is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of São Paulo (IME-USP). He completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of British Columbia, Canada, in August 2024, under the supervision of Dr. Nick Harvey. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of São Paulo (2016) and an M.S. in Computer Science from the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics - University of São Paulo (2019), under the supervision of Dr. Marcel Kenji de Carli Silva. His research interests lie in the areas of theoretical computer science and machine learning theory, with a recent focus on convex and online optimization, randomized algorithms, and differential privacy.
