Graduated in Applied Biology from the University of Minho, Portugal (2005), PhD in Health Sciences from the University of Minho (2010) and Post-Doctorate (until January 2013) at the same institution. Currently, she holds the positions of Dean for Academic Affairs and Professor of Cellular and Molecular Biology in the Medicine course at the Barretos School of Health Sciences Dr. Paulo Prata. She is a Researcher at the Barretos Cancer Hospital, Pio XII Foundation, where she is a permanent professor of the Postgraduate Course in Oncology and a member of the Postgraduate Council. She has been a CNPq Level 2 Research Productivity Scholar since 2017. Her field of expertise is Molecular and Cellular Biology and her research area is Oncobiology, being the leader of the research group on Microenvironment and Tumor Metabolism at the Molecular Oncology Research Center, Barretos Cancer Hospital.
