PhD student in Social History at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), financed by FAPESP. Alessandra did a research internship abroad, at the Emory University in Atlanta, USA, in 2018. She has a Master's Degree in History by the University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF) in 2013. Alessanda also has a postgraduate degree in "African-Brazilian and African History and Culture", in 2011 by the Center for Afro-Brazilian Studies at the University of Juiz de Fora (NEAB-UFJF). She is graduated in History by the University of Juiz de Fora in 2010. From November 2008 to May 2010, she worked as a Scientific Initiation Fellow (FAPEMIG) in the project "State and Society: Between Citizenship and Exclusion". She is currently researching the Brazilian Labor Judiciary, specially the Superior Labor Court, and its relationship with the struggle for workers' rights in the Vargas Era in Brazil.
