Gabriel Nogueira Malta

Master's degree in Education: Knowledge and Social Inclusion, from the Faculty of Education at UFMG (PPGE/FaE/UFMG). Holds a Bachelor's and a Teaching degree in Mathematics from the Institute of Mathematical and Computational Sciences at the University of São Paulo (ICMC/USP). Twice a medalist in the Brazilian Mathematical Olympiad for Public Schools (OBMEP), through which gained access to the Junior Scientific Initiation Program (PIC Jr). During high school, also participated in the Junior Scientific Initiation Scholarship program (BIC Jr) promoted by the Federal University of Viçosa and funded by FAPEMIG. During undergraduate studies, developed the Scientific Initiation project titled "An Introduction to Mathematics: Elements of Topology, Algebra, and Analysis," under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Carlos Henrique Grossi Ferreira from 2014 to 2016, funded by CNPq. Additionally, under the same professor's guidance, conducted research titled "Negative Curvature and the Gromov, Lawson, and Thurston Conjecture," financed by FAPESP between 2016 and 2018. From 2018 to 2020, carried out undergraduate research in the field of Mathematics Education under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Renata Cristina Geromel Meneghetti, supported by the USP Dean of Undergraduate Studies through the Unified Scholarship Program for Undergraduate Students (PUB/USP). Served for two years on the Student Union of the Armando de Salles Oliveira Campus, one of them as president, and participated in three terms of the USP Central Student Directory - Alexandre Vannucchi Leme. Obtained a master's degree with the dissertation titled "Youth and Movement: a problematizing therapy of the National Common Curricular Base," where the process of privatization of public education through the high school curriculum was discussed.
