Paula Alejandra Lara Romero

Paula A. Lara is attending the last year of the Environmental Engineering course at the São Carlos School of Engineering at the University of São Paulo (EESC-USP). She is currently working as an intern at Embrapa Instrumentação in São Carlos in the areas of research and technology transfer in rural basic sanitation projects. She has carried out researches in the area of phytoremediation at the Biotoxicology Laboratory in Continental Waters and Effluents (BIOTACE). Furthermore, she has received a Scientific Initiation schorlarship to work in the area of biopolymers for the Institute of Physics of São Carlos (IFSC). She has experience in Sanitary Engineering, focusing on Environmental Sanitation, acting on the following subjects: rural basic sanitation, simplified anaerobic reactor, decentralized sewage treatment systems and phytoremediation.
