Guilherme Mannis holds a bachelor's, master's and doctor's degree from Instituto de Artes at Unesp. Principal conductor of the Sergipe Symphony Orchestra (Orsse) since 2006, he has shared the stage with artists such as Maria João Pires, Michel Legrand, Nelson Freire, Jean Louis Steuerman, André Mehmari, Emmanuele Baldini, Rosana Lamosa, Wagner Tiso, Amaral Vieira, Eduardo Monteiro, among others. As guest conductor, he has conducted groups such as the Rome Symphony Orchestra, Bari Symphony, Toronto Symphony, World Youth Orchestra, Amazonas Philharmonic, Petrobras Symphony, Repertoire Experimental Orchestra, Symphony of Paraná, Chamber Orchestra of Amazonas, Heliópolis Symphony, Campinas Symphony, Espírito Santo Symphony, Ribeirão Preto Symphony, Rosário Symphony, Symphonies of the Universities of Monterrey and Guanajuato, among others. Mannis has been developing a well-known project to insert the Sergipe Symphony in the national artistic scene, highlighting the production of 14 annual seasons of concerts with the presence of outstanding artists and the programming of a daring repertoire, with the execution of several orders and music execution contemporary. Also noteworthy is the creation of a CD with the recording of the Suites for chamber orchestra and Bachianas Brasileiras nº3, by Villa-Lobos and the group's trips, holding a Tour Brasil - Curitiba (Teatro Guaíra), Rio de Janeiro (Sala Cecília Meirelles ), Brasília (Teatro Nacional Cláudio Santoro) and São Paulo (Sala São Paulo) and participation in the Campos do Jordão International Winter Festival, with great public and critical success. It has also promoted the development of concerts in the interior of the state of Sergipe and the popularization of access to concert music. Awarded in several competitions, Mannis was a substitute professor at the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS) for two years, as well as artistic manager and conductor of UFS Orchestra and Choir or another 2 years. He was a student of John Neschling and Isaac Karabtchevsky and participated in courses with Kurt Masur (Campos do Jordão) and Jorma Panula (Instrumenta Verano). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
