Orlando David Henrique dos Santos

Graduated in Pharmacy and Biochemistry from the University of São Paulo (2000), Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of São Paulo (2006) and pos-doctorate at University of Edinburgh/UK. He is Full Professor of the Federal University of Ouro Preto. He is also accredited as supervisor in the Post-Graduation Programs of Pharmaceutical Sciences and of Biotechnology. Has experience in the areas of Pharmacy and Biotechnology Applied to Health, with emphasis on Pharmaceutics, Physical Chemistry of emulsified and dispersed systems and Nanobiotechnology, acting on the following topics: liquid crystals, cosmetics, nanoemulsions, multiple emulsions, the physical stability of dispersed systems, topical pharmaceutical products and vegetable oils. He is developing research in nanobiotechnology, from the fundamentals involved in getting the systems to the application as a vehicle for drugs and cosmetics, especially nanoemulsified systems and nanoparticles. He is currently tutor in the PET-Famácia group at UFOP, professor responsible for the junior company Formulare and advisor for the Academic League in Aesthetic Pharmacy and Cosmetology at UFOP.
