I have a degree in Geography (bachelor's and licentiate's degree) from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). I have a master's degree in Science in the human geography program from the University of São Paulo (USP) in the area of #8203;#8203;urban planning and a doctorate in social history from the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences of the University of São Paulo (USP) with themes on fundamentalism Islam, jihadism and Islamic communities in Brazil.I worked as a technician at the Geography and Geoprocessing Laboratory at the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas (PUCCAMP) and worked at the Campinas/SP City Hall as a Technical Advisor in the Planning Office. I have experience in the area of #8203;#8203;geoprocessing and thematic cartography. My current interests and lines of research focus on religious fundamentalism (Islamic), geopolitics, the Muslim world and the Middle East.I currently teach geography classes for primary and secondary education at Liceu Salesiano de Campinas and I am a member of the Middle East and Muslim World Working Group (GTOMMM) at USP.
