He holds a master's and doctorate's degree in electrical engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo with a doctoral period at the University of Toronto. He is currently full professor at the Federal University of ABC. He has experience in the field of electrical engineering with emphasis on research and development of wireless communication systems, working mainly on the following topics: WCDMA Systems, OFDMA Systems, PLC Systems, MIMO Systems, Space-Time Coding, Turbo Coding, Adaptive Equalization, Allocation Resources and Smart Grids. He is the main editor of the book Power Line Communication Systems for Smart Grids by IET Publishing and has authored several chapters of national and international books.
