Bruno Cavalcante de Souza Sanches

Bruno Sanches is a professor, engineer, and researcher in the field of microelectronics, with over a decade of experience in integrated circuit design. He obtained his doctoral degree from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo, conducting part of his research at CERN (Switzerland) and IN2P3/CNRS (France). One of his most notable achievements was the design of one of the largest processors ever produced in Brazil, the SAMPA chip, which has been mass-produced and is now an integral part of various experiments at the LHC and worldwide. Bruno has also been involved in the successful tapeout of several other projects using various CMOS processes. He remains actively engaged in several related areas, including optimization, EDA tools for microelectronics, integrated circuit design for healthcare applications (cancer detection), front-ends for high-energy physics experiments, radiation-tolerant electronic circuits, hardware and ASIC development, processors, smart grids, communication systems, digital modulation, and graphs. With his extensive expertise, Bruno has contributed to advancing the field of microelectronics and has a strong track record of successful projects in diverse domains.
