PhD in Chemistry (Doctor of Science, 2009) from UNICAMP, with postdoctoral, Masters, and Bachelors (Licentiate) degrees in Chemistry and Biotechnology from the Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL). Currently a tenured Associate Professor (C4) at the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Alagoas (IFAL). Former Coordinator of the Chemistry Teacher Education Program at IFAL/Maceió Campus, and current Leader of the Research Group on Analytical Chemistry, Electroanalysis, and Sensor Development (GPAES). At the graduate level, he has contributed to the Graduate Program in Chemistry and Biotechnology (PPGQB/UFAL MSc and PhD) and the Graduate Program in Environmental Technologies (PPGTEC/IFAL MSc), supervising research projects in innovation and technological development. His expertise lies in Chemistry, with a strong focus on Physical Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry, working primarily in the following areas: chemical sensors, chemically modified electrodes, biosensors, electroanalysis, synthesis and application of biomimetic polymers, and ion chromatography.He serves as a scientific reviewer for leading journals, including the Journal of the Brazilian Chemical Society (JBCS), Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, and International Journal of Ionics: The Science and Technology of Ionic Motion, and acts as an ad hoc reviewer for the Alagoas State Research Foundation (FAPEAL). He has coordinated several research and development projects funded by agencies such as UNIVERSAL/CNPq, PPP/FAPEAL/CNPq, PIBICT/CNPq, PIBITI/CNPq, PRODOCÊNCIA/CAPES, PIBID/CAPES, MEC/SETEC/CNPq, as well as initiatives for the modernization of Chemistry teaching and research laboratories at IFAL campuses in Marechal Deodoro and Maceió. Additionally, he has held leadership positions as Coordinator of Research and Extension and Acting Director of Research, Extension, and Graduate Studies at IFAL/Maceió Campus. He has an active and productive research profile, with numerous publications in high-impact peer-reviewed journals and an h-index of 17 (ISI and Scopus), with 860 citations across 734 documents.
