Lívia Maria Faim

With a degree in Biological Physics from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2008), sandwich doctoral research focused on protein chemistry and genetic constructs at the Department of Biochemistry, University of Cambridge, UK, and a PhD in Biomolecular Physics from the Institute of Physics of São Carlos, University of São Paulo, she has a solid and diverse background in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Molecular Biology, and Biotechnology. Her expertise includes Protein Crystallography, genetic constructs, protein structures, Bioinformatics, and Bioprocesses.With extensive experience in reverse and structural vaccinology, cloning, expression, purification, and molecular characterization of recombinant proteins, she has been dedicated to the development and production of bacterial, synthetic, and recombinant vaccines. Currently, she works as a specialist in the Research, Development, and Innovation area for vaccines at Ourofino Saúde Animal, leading projects from the initial design phase to the scaling up stages, pilot batch production, and vaccine launch.
