She graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Pará (1989), has a residency in Neurology - Escola Paulista de Medicina - UNIFESP (1994), MS in Neurology / Neurosciences by the Federal University of São Paulo (1997) and PhD in Medical Sciences from Universidade Federal University of São Paulo (2005). She has received training in Neuroimmunology at the Center for Neurological Diseases (Harvard Medical School during 1998-2001 and specialization in Epidemiology and Biostatistics - Harvard Medical School (2015-2016). She is currently the coordinator of the outpatient clinic for demyelinating diseases at UNIFESP, developing research on multiple sclerosis and optic neuromyelitis. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
