Professor (MS-3) at the Department Environmental and Applied Geology at the Institute of Geosciences of the University of Sao Paulo (IGc-USP). She holds a degree in Geology, a Master's degree in Geotectonics, and a DSc (PhD equivalent) in Mineral Resources and Environment from IGc-USP, as well as a degree in Computer Engineering from the Virtual University of the State of Sao Paulo (UNIVESP). She is responsible for the Artificial Intelligence Lab (Intelli+Geo) and co-responsible for the Geological Informatics Laboratory (LIG). She is an editorial board member of the Brazilian Journal of Geology and the Applied Computing and Geosciences, a researcher at the Spatial Analysis and Modeling Lab (SPAMLab) of IEE-USP. She was a temporary professor at the Department of Mineralogy and Geotectonics of IGc-USP from 2016-2018, and a geologist in the Prevention Division of the Civil Defense of the City of Sao Paulo from 2018-2023. She mainly works on remote sensing, digital photogrammetry, data science and spatial databases, artificial intelligence, digital outcrop models, rock mechanics, slope stability, structural geology, data analysis, and GIS. She is interested in virtual and augmented reality, front-end and mobile development, adaptation to climate change, geoscience education, and risk and disaster management.
