Alessandra Fernandes Bizerra

She holds a bachelor's and a degree in Biological Sciences (1992 and 2004), a Master's in Biological Sciences (Zoology) (1998), and a Ph.D. in Education (2009), and a title of associate professor in biodiversity education, all from the University of São Paulo. She works currently at the Institute of Biosciences at the University of São Paulo and is coordinator of the CHOICES research group. She was Director of USP's CienTec Park, treasurer of the Brazilian Association of Biology Teaching (SBEnBio - Nacional), and Visiting Professor at King's College London. She has experience in Science Communication and Science Education, working mainly on the following topics: non-formal education, social participation in science communication, and production of educational and communication materials.
