Sergio Kafejian Cardoso Franco

Sergio Kafejian has obtained his Batchelor Degree in composition from Santa Marcelina College (1998), has obtained his Master degree (Mphill in performing arts-composition) from Brunel University (2008), UK and in 2014 has obtained his Doctoral by the UNESP. Since 2016 develops a Post Doctoral Reserach based at ECA-USP. In 2017 has reserached as Visiting Scholar at NYU Steinhardt and has been, in the same institution the New Music Ensemble Resident Composer. From 2010 to 2015 has been worked as pedagogical coordinator and Area Coordinator at EMESP (Music School of the São Paulo State) and at the same period Sergio has worked as coordinator and Artisctic Director of the contemporary music group Camerata Aberta. With this group has held five artistic seasons including more than 30 national concerts and 9 international concerts. Kafejian Has been active as a lecturer at Santa Marcelina College since 2001, in the subjects of: electroacoustic music, composition, contemporary music and Musical Analysis. Sergio has experience in the area of Arts with emphasis in Music Composition and technology. His compositions have been presented in several countries such as Brazil, England, Germany, Hungary, Canada, Spain, United States.
