Dr. Marisa Afonso Andrade Brunherotti holds a degree in Physiotherapy from Centro Universitário Claretiano (1991). She has completed two postdoctoral fellowships: one in the Department of Social Medicine at the Ribeirão Preto Medical School, University of São Paulo (2020), and another in the Department of Pediatrics and Childcare at the same institution (2016). She earned a PhD in Child and Adolescent Health (Pediatrics) from the Ribeirão Preto Medical School University of São Paulo (2011), and a Masters degree in Medical Sciences (Internal Medicine) from the same institution (2005).She also holds specialization degrees in Health Business Management (2003), Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy (2001), and Psychosomatics in Clinical Practice (1994).Dr. Brunherotti has served as a lecturer and clinical preceptor at the University of Franca (UNIFRAN) since 2000. She is currently the Coordinator of the Graduate Program (Masters and PhD) in Health Promotion at UNIFRAN (since 2020), working within the research areas Policies and Practices in Health Promotion and Environments, Technologies, and Sustainability in Health Promotion. She has been a faculty researcher in the Health Promotion Program since 2014 and a lecturer in the School of Medicine since 2011.She coordinated the Human Research Ethics Committee from 2020 to 2023 and served as a member of the Universitys Higher Council during the same period. She is also a member of the Medical Student Research Support Center (since 2018).Since 2024, she has been a Collaborating Researcher in the Department of Social Medicine at the Ribeirão Preto Medical School University of São Paulo.Her academic and professional experience focuses on maternal and child health, preterm newborns, child development, and health technologies.She leads two CNPq-certified research groups: Maternal and Child Health (since 2016) and Policy, Technology, and Education in Health Promotion (since 2021), and is an active member of the broader Health Promotion Research Network.She is also the founder of the Universo Prematuro Program and the Coordinator of the Comprehensive Early Childhood Care Center Universo Prematuro, a recognized public service model for the longitudinal follow-up of preterm infants.
