Douglas holds a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Cruzeiro do Sul University (2017) (full PROUNI scholarship holder). During his undergraduate studies, he conducted undergraduate research at the Movement Analysis Laboratory of the Institute of Physical Activity and Sports Sciences - ICAFE at Cruzeiro do Sul University, as a FAPESP scholarship holder (2016-2017), and holds a master's degree in Health Sciences from the same institution (2020). He is currently a PhD candidate in Health Sciences (CNPq scholarship holder) working on the research line "Coordination and control of human movement" at Cruzeiro do Sul University.
