Doctor of Science from the Department of Physical Chemistry at the São Carlos Institute of Chemistry/USP. Currently, a researcher at RIKEN (Institute of Physical and Chemical Research) in Wak#333;, Japan. Working on a research project about dynamic systems applied to electrocatalysis and on studies on the emergence of life in deep-sea hydrothermal systems. Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the Institute of Chemistry/USP and a Master's degree in the Applied Physics program, Biomolecular option, from the Institute of Physics of São Carlos/USP in collaboration with LNLS/CNPEM. The main academic interests are in the field of Physical Chemistry, in out-of-equilibrium and near-equilibrium electrochemical systems, in studies of the Origins of Life and Astrobiology, especially regarding issues related to interactions between geological and biological or protobiological systems.
