Birthplace: Brazil

Doctor of Science from the Department of Physical Chemistry at the São Carlos Institute of Chemistry/USP. Currently, a researcher at RIKEN (Institute of Physical and Chemical Research) in Wak#333;, Japan. Working on a research project about dynamic systems applied to electrocatalysis and on studies on the emergence of life in deep-sea hydrothermal systems. Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the Institute of Chemistry/USP and a Master's degree in the Applied Physics program, Biomolecular option, from the Institute of Physics of São Carlos/USP in collaboration with LNLS/CNPEM. The main academic interests are in the field of Physical Chemistry, in out-of-equilibrium and near-equilibrium electrochemical systems, in studies of the Origins of Life and Astrobiology, especially regarding issues related to interactions between geological and biological or protobiological systems. Experience in research on studies of the emergence of life in the hydrothermal vents models, habitability of icy moons, and spectroelectrochemistry and electrocatalysis. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
