I am a biotechnologist (UFSCar, 2015) and geneticist (Unicamp, 2018, 2023) with a specialization in molecular biology and bioenergy. In 2017, I founded ECRA Biotec, a synthetic biology company, where I developed over 15 biotechnological products for diagnostics and genetic engineering. Additionally, my deep interest in semiarid crops and desert agriculture drives my research, particularly focusing on the development of Agave for biofuel production. My work in this field encompasses a wide spectrum, including cultivar rescue, biomass characterization, molecular phytopathology, and plant biotechnology. Currently, I serve as the researcher overseeing Agave genetic resources and breeding at BRAVE - the Brazilian Agave Development Program, a partnership between the University of Campinas (Unicamp), the National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels Agency of Brazil (ANP), and Shell Brasil Petróleo Ltda.
