B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP), Campinas SP, Brazil in 1987, M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles CA, USA, in 1999 and 2004 respectively. He is a co-founder of PST Eletrônica Ltda. (Positron) with units in Manaus AM and Campinas SP, Brazil, a manufacturer of automotive electronic systems with more than 1300 employees (since 2017 PST was acquired by Stoneridge Inc. and changed its name to Stoneridge Brazil). He has experience in Electric Engineering design management and specification, mainly in integrated circuit design, automotive electronics, wireless sensor networks (IoT) and electric vehicles.
