Graduated in Biological Sciences, Specialization in Environmental Management, and Master's in Zoology by PUCRS. She holds a PhD in Sciences by USP, with an internship at the University of Exeter, England. She carried out 2 post-doctoral projects at UNESP. She has teaching experience in federal universities. Currently lives in Spain, acting as a researcher attached to the Complutense University of Madrid and associated with the Center for Apicultural and Agro-environmental Research stilla-La Mancha. Her network includes researchers from the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (Portugal) and the University of Turin (Italy). She works together with the International Commission on Relations between Plants and Pollinators (ICPPR) and IBAMA, providing subsidies on advances in the development of bee testing guidelines for pesticide risk assessment. She is an external scientific consultant for the ?European Food Safety Authority?, and a member of the international associations: ?International Commission for Plant-Pollinator Relationships? (ICPPR) and ?Prevention of Honey Bee Colony Losses? (COLOSS). She also has experience as a consulting researcher providing services to the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture. Has experience in Zoology, Entomology and animal conservation, working mainly on the following topics: ecotoxicology, pesticide risk assessment, bee health, in vitro breeding methods for bees, behavior and conservation of bees, and pollination ecology.
