Graduated from college with a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Education in Biological Sciences at University of Sao Paulo (USP) (2018/2019). Worked as an undergraduate researcher (FAPESP) for four years at the Human and Stem Cell Genome Center (HUG-Cel-USP), where, supervised by Prof. Mayana Zatz, led a project on liver tissue engineering, collaborated with many researchers from HUG-Cel, and deposited a patent.Currently, is a PhD Candidate in Biology (Genetics) at the Genetics and Evolutionary Biology Department at the Biosciences Institute (IB-USP), also supervised by Prof. Mayana Zatz, investigating the cellular biology and the embryonic development of hepatocytes through induced pluripotent stem-cell derived hepatocytes (iPSC-Heps). Particularly, worked as a Visiting Graduate Researcher (BEPE-FAPESP) for two years at University of California (San Francisco), having modeled liver steatosis in vitro with Prof. Holger Willenbring and validated the development of new drugs to treat liver fibrosis with Prof. Michelle Arkin.
