Birthplace: Brazil

Master in Ecology from the University of São Paulo (USP 2021, awarded for the best dissertation in the Ecology program) and currently a PhD candidate in the same program, with a sandwich period at the National University of Singapore. Holds a Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences (2018) and in Science and Technology (2017) from the Federal University of ABC (UFABC), with experience in Landscape Ecology, Road Ecology, and Urban Ecology. During his undergraduate studies, he was a scientific initiation fellow through PIBIC/CNPq and FAPESP, investigating landscape patterns associated with wildlife roadkill, a work awarded first place in the youth category at the 1st MapBiomas Award. He has diverse international research experience, with internships, courses, and academic visits to various institutions abroad. Currently, his research focuses on the interface between Urban Ecology, Ecosystem Services, and Human Health, with an emphasis on the relationship between biodiversity, urban green spaces, and human well-being. He uses spatially explicit modeling to map cultural ecosystem services and understand their impacts on human health, particularly in megacities of the Global South. He is interested in contributing to evidence-based public policies and urban planning, aiming to reduce socio-environmental inequalities, promote biodiversity conservation, and enhance urban resilience in times of climate crisis.
