Professor and researcher at the Department of Organic Chemistry, Institute of Chemistry, Federal Fluminense University. She holds a degree in Chemistry (UFSCar, 2006), as well as a Master's (UFSCar, 2008) and a Ph.D. (UFSCar, 2012) in Sciences. She conducted a sandwich internship at the University of Pavia (Italy). She worked as a Visiting Researcher at the Gregório Weber Protein Thermodynamics and Viral Structures Laboratory (UFRJ, 2012-2014). She is the coordinator of BioCrom - Research Group on Bioaffinity Chromatography and Environmental Chemistry at UFF, where she supervises undergraduate and graduate students, as well as postdoctoral researchers. She is an associate editor of the Virtual Journal of Chemistry. She is a member of the Fluminense Network for the Research and Development of Nanomaterials and Nanobiosystems and the Franco-Brazilian Network on Natural Products. She is an advisor for Pró-reitoria de Pesquisa at UFF (2019-2021) and the National Science Centre Poland. Since 2019, she has been a fellow of the Young Scientist Program of Our State, funded by FAPERJ. Her research is focused on Environmental Chemistry, with an emphasis on the production and application of biochars from solid waste for the remediation of contaminants in water, as well as Medicinal/Analytical Chemistry, with a focus on the development and application of ligand screening assays using chromatographic systems.
