Bruna Ferreira Montuori

Dr. Bruna Ferreira Montuori holds a Ph.D. from the School of Architecture, Royal College of Art in London and was a Full Doctorate Fellow from CNPq (201660/2018). She earned her Master of Science in Design and Architecture from the Graduate Program at Fau-usp, where she was a Fapesp fellow from 2017-2018. She graduated in industrial design (product design) and minor in visual communication from PUC-Rio in 2014, with an academic exchange to Politecnico di Milano, Italy, in 2012. Bruna is a Lecturer in the MA Design for Art Direction program at the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London, and an Associate Lecturer in the MA Narrative Environments program at Central Saint Martins, UAL. She serves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the MSc Environmental Sustainable Development program at the Planning Unit, Bartlett, University College London. Her research areas include feminist pedagogies, militant approaches, decolonial studies, insurgent urbanisms, favela studies, participatory research, and ethics of care. Her doctoral research stems from a longstanding collaboration with the organization Redes da Maré, where she also works as a graphic designer on projects and campaigns focused on political advocacy, memories, and rights. Bruna coordinated ABEP-UK (Association of Brazilian Postgraduate Students in the UK) during the academic year 2019-2021 and has been part of the Participatory Geographies research group (PYGYRG) in the UK since 2020. She worked as Curator Assistant for the 11th São Paulo Architecture Biennial (2016-2017) and as a design researcher on projects at the Tellus Institute (2015-2018). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
