Abstract
We have previously found in our laboratory that gene knockout of a protein kinase (TcK2) that phosphorylate the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2 (eIF2) affects growth of Trypanosoma cruzi, a protozoan parasite that causes Chagas disease.
