Associate Professor at the Department of Aeronautical Engineering of the School of Engineering of São Carlos at the University of São Paulo (EESC-USP), with activities in the areas of avionics, control systems, navigation, and flight testing. Holds a Bachelor's, Master's, and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on aircraft, all from EESC-USP, as well as a postdoctoral fellowship at Linköping University, Sweden. Earned the title of Livre-Docente (Habilitation) in 2025, with a focus on semi-autonomous aircraft control using machine learning.Has over 10 years of experience in the aerospace industry, having worked at EMBRAER on flight test campaigns and the development of aircraft systems. In academia, teaches undergraduate and graduate courses and coordinates research and extension projects related to aeronautical systems, automatic control, human factors, and pilot-aircraft interaction. He is the founder and coordinator of the Specialization Course in Aeronautical Systems at EESC-USP. An active member of ABCM, Mensa Brasil, and IEEE. His current interests include the use of artificial intelligence in aircraft control and the evaluation of safety and performance of systems in aerial and ground platforms.
