Diego Moschkovich is a theater director, theater pedagogue and translator. He has a degree in Performing Arts from the St. Petersburg State Academy of Performing Arts (LGITMiK-RGISI) and a master's degree in Literature from the University of Sao Paulo. He researches the historical heritage and legacy of Stanislavskys thought. He is the author of the book The Late Stanislávski in action: rehearsing on a new method (Perspectiva, 2021). He has also translated and published the first Russian translation of Vsevolod Meyerhold's On theatre (Iluminuras, 2012), Vassily Toporkov's Stanislavsky on rehearsal (É, 2016), Maria Knebel's Action-Analysis (2016, Editora 34) and Serguei Tcherkasski's "Stanislavsky and Yoga" (É, 2019). As a director, he has premiered: Caixa (Tape), by Stephen Belber, (OC Oswald de Andrade, 2014), Dezembro (December), by Guillermo Calderón (SESC Consolacao, 2015), Huis Clos - A Portas Fechadas, by J.P. Sartre. Sartre, (Itau Cultural, 2016), Neva, by Guillermo Calderon (CCSP, 2016), winner of the III Ze Renato Theater Award, O corpo que o rio levou (A body taken by the river), by Ave Terrena, winner of the IV Zé Renato Theater Award (CCSP, 2017), As 3 uiaras de sp city (The 3 uiaras from sp city), by Ave Terrena Alves, winner of the IV Small-Format Dramaturgy Award of the CCSP (CCSP, 2018), Villa, by Guillermo Calderon (SESC Pinheiros, 2018), Sarah Hagar decide to kill Abraham, by Ti Viúdes (TUSP, 2022), E lá fora o silêncio (And outside the silence), by Ave Terrena (SESC Pinheiros, 2022). With Ave Terrena and Diego Chilio, she also coordinates the Laboratory of Dramatic Technique (LABTD). He is currently a FAPESP doctoral fellow at the PPGAC of the School of Communications and Arts (ECA/USP), with the research: Towards a theater with moving walls: Stanislávski's last and unfinished revolution.
