Marcelo Duarte da Costa

Masters degree in Chemistry with an emphasis on Organic Synthesis from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), with over five years of research experience in organocatalysis and the photochemistry of aryl diazoacetates, developed in the research group of Prof. Dr. Igor Dias Jurberg. In the pharmaceutical industry, worked for five years as an organic chemistry researcher, focusing on solutions for the pharmaceutical sector, including the identification, synthesis, and characterisation of organic compounds, particularly drug impurities, as well as theoretical prediction of the reactivity of organic molecules under stress conditions and risk assessment for nitrosamine formation, in compliance with national (ANVISA) and international (ICH) regulatory requirements. For the past two years, I have coordinated a team of organic chemistry researchers, leading the management of projects, processes, and people, with a focus on continuous improvement and result reliability to ensure pharmaceutical product safety.
