Graduated in Medicine from Faculdade de Medicina do ABC (2004 - 2009), Master's in Health Sciences (2009 - 2010), and training in Internal Medicine at the same institution (2010 - 2012). Served as a scientific initiation scholarship holder by CNPq (2008 - 2009), then pursued training in Intensive Medicine at Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein (2012 - 2014). Completed a Ph.D. in the discipline of Pulmonology at the University of São Paulo (INCOR-FMUSP, 2013 - 2014), followed by a Ph.D. Cum Laude in Intensive Medicine and Anesthesiology at the Academic Medical Center - University of Amsterdam (AMC-UvA, 2015 - 2017). Conducted postdoctoral research at the Academic Medical Center - University of Amsterdam (AMC-UvA, Netherlands, 2014 - 2015) and at the Department of Biostatistics of the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH, 2018 - 2018). Achieved the position of Associate Professor at the Department of Cardiopneumology of the University of São Paulo (FMUSP, 2018 - 2019). Holds the title of Specialist in Intensive Medicine from the Brazilian Association of Intensive Medicine (AMIB, 2014) and the Fellowship of the ANZ College of Intensive Care Medicine (FCICM, 2020). Currently serving as a Senior Research Fellow at the Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Research Centre (ANZIC-RC), Monash University, Australia. Also works as a consultant intensivist in the Intensive Care Unit at Austin Hospital, Australia, and is a Medical Researcher at the Israelite Institute of Education and Research Albert Einstein. Holds a Permanent Teaching position in the stricto sensu Postgraduation Program in Health Sciences at Instituto Israelita de Ensino e Pesquisa Albert Einstein (SBIBAE). Collaborates as a Associate Researcher in the Department of Intensive Care at the Academic Medical Center of the University of Amsterdam (AMC-UvA, Netherlands). With >350 published works in indexed journals, boasting over 14,000 citations in international literature, an H-index of 55, and >250 participations in scientific events. Possesses expertise in biostatistics and data management, fluent in the use of R. Founding member and epidemiologist of the "Protective Ventilation Network (PROVENet)," an international consortium focused on studies related to the use of protective ventilation in patients without ARDS.
