Aléxia Bretas is an associate professor at Universidade Federal do ABC (UFABC), with a PhD in Philosophy from USP (2010) and a postdoctoral degree in Literary Theory from UNICAMP (2014). With emphasis in Contemporary Philosophy, she works in the areas of Aesthetics and Philosophy of Art, Critical Theory, Walter Benjamin, Queer, Gender, race and decolonial Studies. She is the author of the books The Dream Constellation in Walter Benjamin (Humanitas / Fapesp, 2008), From Artist's Novel to the Permanence of Art (Annablume / Fapesp, 2013) and Fantasmagorias of Modernity (FAP-UNIFESP, 2017).
