Renato Moscateli holds a PhD in Philosophy from the State University of Campinas (Unicamp). He is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Philosophy of the Federal University of Goiás and in the institution's Graduate Program in Philosophy. He wrote the books "Rousseau facing Montesquieu's legacy: History and political theory in the Age of Enlightenment" (EDIPUCRS) and "The Lord of Letters: the Old Regime and modernity in Voltairean literature" (EDUEM). He is the co-editor of the book "Histories of imaginary countries: a variety of utopian places", as well as the author of several book chapters and articles published in specialized journals. He works in the area of #8203;#8203;History, with an emphasis on Intellectual History, and also in the area of #8203;#8203;Political Philosophy, with an emphasis on authors of the Enlightenment. He is coordinator and researcher of the Jean-Jacques Rousseau Interdisciplinary Research Group (UFG), and a research member of the Rousseau and French Enlightenment Philosophy Research Group (Unifesp). He is also part of the support core of the GT Rousseau and Enlightenment of ANPOF and the Brazilian Association of Eighteenth-Century Studies (ABES18). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
