Currently a FAPESP postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Biosciences of Botucatu (IBB), São Paulo State University (UNESP), working on the morphological and molecular systematics (museomics) of two subfamilies of Neotropical catfishes: Glanapteryginae and Sarcoglanidinae. Professor in the School of Medicine at Universidade Santo Amaro (UNISA) from 2023 to 2025. Grant recipient of the Genomes to Phenomes to Populations (G2P2POP) program, conducting museomic research on Trichomycteridae at Northern Arizona University in 2023. Ph.D. in Sciences (Ontogeny and Systematics) from the graduate program in Systematics, Taxonomy, and Biodiversity at the Museum of Zoology, University of São Paulo (MZUSP), in cotutelle with the Institut de Systématique, Évolution, Biodiversité Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle (MNHN), completed in 2023. M.Sc. in Science from the same MZUSP program in 2018, with a thesis awarded the "Ubirajara Martins Prize: Excellence in Zoological Taxonomy.". Held a three-month research fellowship at the National Museum of Natural History Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C., in 2018. B.Sc. and B.Ed. in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV), graduated in 2016. Awarded a scholarship through the Brazilian governmental program Science Without Borders (CAPES), attending Pace University and Lehman College at the City University of New York (CUNY), New York City, USA, in 20152016. Experienced in evolutionary biology, systematics, genetics, cytogenetics, evo-devo, zoology, and ichthyology. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
