Mariana Teixeira is an assistant researcher at the University of Lisbon within the Practical Philosophy Research Group (Praxis). She earned her Bachelor's, Master's and Doctorate in Philosophy from Unicamp (University of Campinas, Brazil), as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences (Political Science and Sociology) from the same institution. She was a Visiting Researcher at the Free University of Berlin, Germany (2012-2013) and has Post-Doctorates from Cebrap (Brazilian Center for Analysis and Planning, 2018-2019) and the Free University Berlin (2020-2023), where she coordinated the Research Area "Politics of Conviviality" at Mecila: Maria Sibylla Merian International Centre for Advanced Studies in the Humanities and Social Sciences Conviviality-Inequality in Latin America. She acted as Scientific Coordinator of Mecila (2019-2020) as well as visiting lecturer at Unicamp (2016 and 2022), USP (University of São Paulo, 2018) and the University of Lisbon (2024). Member of the Editorial Board of Dissonancia: Critical Theory Journal. Areas of interest: critical theory, political and social philosophy, post- and de-colonial theories, feminism, and the dialectical tradition stemming from Hegel and Marx.
