Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). Instituto de Química (IQ)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

I am a Chemist, MSc and PhD in Physical Chemistry specialised in Colloidal Science, Nanomaterials and Soft Matter. During my MSc and PhD at the Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR), I worked on the structural and physicochemical characterization of polysaccharides of Acacia gums from different species, establishing important structure-to-property relationships to guide potential applications. I attended to a one year internship at the Advanced Photon Source (United States) studying the dynamical properties of polysaccharide gels at different lenghtscales. As a Postdoc at Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP), I developed protocols for the surface modification of magnetic nanoparticles resulting in enhanced interfacial properties. I have formulated different magnetically responsive smart systems, such as double emulsions and also thermoresponsive microfilaments and cilia during a research exchange period at Université de Paris in France. My research interests are related to nanomaterials, multiresponsive colloidal systems, self-assembly and instrumentation / characterization techniques. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
