She graduated in Nursing from the University of Campinas - Unicamp, completing her Bachelor's degree in 2006. She obtained the title of Master in Nursing in 2009, being awarded the Fapesp Scholarship; and earned her Doctorate in Nursing in 2012, as a CNPq Scholar through the Edital 070/2008. During the course of her Doctorate, she had the opportunity to participate in an Overseas Sandwich Doctorate in 2011 at Université Laval, with financial support from the Bureau Canadienne de L'Education Internationale and the CNPq-SWE scholarship. She conducted postdoctoral studies from 2013 to 2014 with a CNPq Scholarship in 2014. She served as an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Nursing (FEnf) at Unicamp (2015-2021), where she was a Member of the Graduate Program in Nursing Committee (2017-2021), Coordinator of the Fundamentals in Nursing Area (2016-2021), Member of the Unicamp Research Ethics Committee (2019-2021), and a member of the Faculty of Nursing's Crisis Committee at Unicamp (2020). She was involved with the Coronary Risk Control Outpatient Clinic (AMFACOR) at the Unicamp Clinical Hospital from 2007 to 2021 and served as the vice-leader of the "Interventions and Health-Related Behaviors" Research Group, recognized by DGP-CNPq (since 2018). Her research encompasses a range of topics in the field of Nursing, with a particular focus on Health Behaviors, Cardiology, Non-Communicable Chronic Diseases, Adaptation and validation of measurement instruments; Nursing interventions based on theory and the process of care in non-communicable chronic diseases. In addition to local contributions, she established international collaborations with institutions such as Université Laval (Canada) and Cardiff University (United Kingdom). Currently, she holds the position of Assistant Professor of Nursing (Tenure-Track) at the College of Nursing at the University of Rhode Island (RI, USA). She is associated with professional societies and associations, including the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, Sigma Theta Tau International (in the position of Nurse Leader), American Association of Colleges of Nursing, and the International Behavioral Trials Network. She served as an evaluator of Academic Programs in the Quadrennial CAPES Evaluation 2017-2020 in the field of Nursing, in the evaluation of New Course Proposals (APCN) for the same field in 2022, and on the CAPES Thesis Award Committee in the Nursing Area in 2023. Currently, she is dedicated to studying cardiometabolic health and its impacts among commercial fishermen in Rhode Island, USA, with financial support from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in collaboration with Brown University - Advance-CTR.
