I have a degree in Physical Therapy from Universidade Estadual Paulista - Júlio de Mesquita Filho -UNESP (2001), a Master's degree in Science (Physiology of organs and systems) from the University of São Paulo (2004) and a PhD in Biological Sciences (Physiology) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2008). I was an adjunct professor at the Federal University of Uberlândia (2008-2012). I am currently an assistant professor at the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho. I have experience in the areas of Human and Animal Physiology, with emphasis on: Cardiovascular Physiology, Renal Physiology and application of magnetic nanoparticles, cell therapy with stem cells and medicinal plants. I develop research in the lines of 1) Cell Therapy and Cardiovascular Diseases and 2) investigation of natural products with an effect on the cardiovascular system 3) Assessment of Overweight and Obesity in University Students. I give lectures and promote discussions on Women in Science with the aim of inserting diversity as a component for improving science.
