Graduated in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of São Carlos (2009) and Master of Science (Biotechnology) from the Institute of Biomedical Sciences of the University of São Paulo (2013), working in the production and characterization of clotting factor VIII. PhD in Sciences (Biochemistry) from the Institute of Chemistry of the University of São Paulo studying the identity and development of aptamers against tumor stem cells, carried out in collaboration with the Translational Center for Regenerative Medicine, University of Leipzig, Germany (2015) and the Center of Aptamer Research and Development, Life & Medical Sciences Institute, University of Bonn, Germany (2017). In 2018, she founded the start-up Bioptamers with the purpose of developing precision and affordable anticancer therapies, using aptamers for application in treatments against more aggressive types of neoplasms.
