Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP). Campus de Assis. Faculdade de Ciências e Letras (FCL-ASSIS)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

I have a degree in Biotechnological Engineering from UNESP, where I learned both theoretically and practically about biotechnology and bioprocesses. As a FAPESP Scientific Initiation scholarship holder for two years, I conducted a study on the anti-inflammatory potential of flavonoids on neutrophils and their molecular components. During this period, I gained experience with cell culture, cell viability assays, enzymatic activity, spectrophotometry, scientific report writing, and benchtop results analysis. For three months, I worked on part of the Scientific Initiation project at the University of Southern Denmark, with funding from FAPESP, which enhanced my English skills to an advanced level. I interned at the Butantan Institute, working in the Process Development Laboratory, assisting in the project for the production and purification of the enzyme asparaginase. There, I learned microbiology techniques, fermentation, preparation of solutions and culture media, bacterial cell cultivation, HPLC, electrophoresis, protein quantification, sterilization, and other analytical assays. Currently, I am a master's student in the Interunit Program in Biotechnology at USP, working in the Vaccine Development Laboratory on research about feeding strategies in submerged culture in a benchtop bioreactor of rBCG-pertussis, focusing on optimizing the production process of the rBCG-pertussis vaccine.
